St. Casimir Parish - designated for Polish immigrants in Terryville, Connecticut, United States. : Founded in 1906. It is one of the Polish-American Roman Catholic parishes in New England in the Archdiocese of Hartford. Parish shares a Pastor with the Immaculate Conception parish in 1999. == History == In 1900 a group of men gathered to form St. Casimir’s Society. In 1902 the St. Casimir Society purchased land at 15 Allen Street for $500, and organized St. Casimir Parish. In March 1906, Fr Joseph Raniszewski was assigned as the first pastor. In May 1906 the cornerstone reading “St. Casimir Polish Roman Catholic Church” was laid and Bishop Tierney dedicated St. Casimir Church on September 1, 1907.
